Congrats on finishing your game!

I think the biggest thing this game has going for it is the extreme ease of playability. The card playing is snappy and intuitive. Rounds are short and to the point. Card deals and animations are quick without being unreadable. All this helps the player stay engaged and has a nice push and will with little gameplay loops. Super well designed!

The un-suited and un-numbered cards took me a little bit of getting used to, especially number cards over 10 still being less valuable than face cards.

As engaging as the gameplay is, I think it still has room for iteration. There are a few 'feels-bad' moments when the opponent rushes you or you just can't draw anything. That's the nature of poker & traditional card games, but we're in video game land. You're already deviating from a standard 52 card deck, so it would be fun to lean into that a bit more. Can you design something like... pay the blind again to draw a new hand once per table? Some other QoL features would be nice, too. Like an undo feature to pull a card back, or a "play all" button to just put your hand on the table.

Overall, very well made. I hope you're happy with your game. Keep making games!

Wow, thanks for the detailed feedback! Those QoL improvements will definitely be on my list once the jam is over. My intention with this game was to deviate further from the standard deck with things like "on play" effects and additional suits, but when the time came I decided to focus on the animation and feel over additional features. I'm pleased you noticed!
