I used to be a patron on Patreon for the game for a few months. The updates on the game are slow... And as much as I wanted to support you guys it just wasn't worth it, not much was really being posted there. The community discord was especially disheartening.
Seeing that the game is now asking for microtransactions in the form of skins this early into development is a little disappointing and a bad sign.

Wtf, Dude you really need to lower your expectations... That's the problem.
You literally whine about how little you give - Yet how much you ask for.
Updates were every 3-4 months, Now you have to wait a little longer, but the quality has increased tremendously.
I've been here long enough, and I don't see how you could even come up with all that.

Quality takes time, I can't whip my artists to come up with an update every month, it's not possible and that's not how it works.
There are thousands of games to discover between each update, use them to expand your horizons or why not try to create a game yourself, so you'll see that not everything is done as fast as you think.
As for the skins to sell, there is no obligation, it is a bonus that had access to those who support the game every month, there is no obligation to buy it, it is only for the pleasure of the eyes
I was about to comment with a suggestion for something to be added when i read your comment. Thank you. I wish I had seen this sooner and not bought the damn game lol. Its just that I really like the combination of free-roam with rpg elements and the artstyle. I normally hate 2d and i hate anime but this really appeals to me for some reason.
Could you perhaps suggest games with a simular look and gameplay?
Sadly, a lot of games are made of some random 3d assets made in 3 sec with some "easy character creator", with a mediocre story and some goofy sounds.
It is really hard to find a game where both of these aspects are decent.
And the only good ones are some furry-gay games. And i do not enjoy furrys or gay content.
