A fun, chill game, please develop further

(+1)

Thanks. I plan on adding a bit more. I struggled to come up with an idea until the last couple days of the jam. That plus constantly unable to commit to some concepts made me have to cut ideas to get something submitted.

It was a pretty stressful jam so having something relaxing to play at the end was really great haha

I agree. This was a really fun-chill. Further development would be welcomed.

Thanks! What would you like to see added? I have been working on it since the jam submission to polish it up and iron the rough edges but still trying to think through things to add. I know I want to add more planet types and make the scoring system more interesting.

cool things might be having some simple stats for each planet, like how long a day is on the planet, how many days a planet takes to complete a full orbit around the star, how many days/years a planet has existed for, population of each planet, asteroids with elliptical orbits. Then maybe having solar systems you've completed connect is some way

Yeah, I don't know. graphical assets? Honestly, I really just loved the music paired with chill solar-system building.

If you're looking to get over game-dev's block, I would recommend taking a day off, spending some time thinking about if you're still invested in the game. If you're just looking for more good ideas, I'd listen to The_Other_Sean. I've never been interested by stats, but if there was a way to interlace planet's orbits (in such a way that they don't crash), or detail individual planets, like painting or adding cities, I think that would be fun. Since it's a chill solar system game, focusing on planets design, or more cosmic disasters, could be fun angles to explore.
