I am a bit confused about the gameplay. Once I reach a certain point, I start to clip through the floor and I am not sure what I'm supposed to do. Could you please provide some clarification or instructions?

Hey, the clipping is a bug i'm aware of. I couldn't fix it in time and the only way through it is to slowly move over steep areas.
Basically what you have to do in this game is to collect soul orbs(orange balls) which will give you 30 seconds of combat power. With this power you have to fight demons from hell.
