There's a lot going on. Try to keep you game jam games simple. Build off one mechanic that you're very proud of.  The nokia resolution is a very limiting factor as this game contains many different art assets which is quite a lot to take in all at once. There is also some sub pixel detail between the HUD elements.

There is no sub pixel details, maybe in the HTML 5 version but that's due to how the engine exports non DirectX based games. I also state in the description that the HTML 5 version isn't the definitive version of the game for this fact. As for the gameplay you may say it's overcomplicated, but it isn't required by the jam's rules for the gameplay to be simple. Personally I find it to just be a matter of preference, I have played countless jam entries with systems far more complicated than this game. At its heart I believe that it is a very basic gameplay concept.
