Incredibly ambitious for a jam game. Sure wasn't expecting a 3D sim game complex enough to need an illustrated tutorial! I played to day 14, maybe an hour ish.

Pros:

  • -A crazy amount of content and variety for a jam game
  • -A distinct cutsey-simple aesthetic
  • -Actually a pretty solid game it seems!

Nitpicks:

  • (I don't play sims so I'm not really familiar with the genre's norms)
  • -Camera rotation too fast; in general it's hard to move and zoom in on stuff, coming from an FPS background
  • -Hard to gauge the zeitgeist, how all the clients feel about stuff, how decorations affect things, etc
  • -Wish it could speed up faster than 4x (30x?)
  • -I have no idea how to address noise complaints, "increased monitoring" requests, etc

Overall very impressive, but hard to gauge the meta and I don't think there's an end game. Which, would be well outside the scope of a jam game I'm sure, just mentioning it.
