This is crazy, and I like it that way :) Definitely a meme game. Reminds me of crazy scaling in clickers or idlers, when you quickly become a paperclip creating machine.

I wonder if that can become a serious game (though a meme one at the same time) if you'll be increased in scale with your enemies. Like in Katamari Damachi, you gain level and you start to oppose giants, then gods, then reality itself :)

I made a video of a play-through: https://youtu.be/a1Z42nBREIc

So glad you enjoyed it! It was actually meant to be like you said, with a town full of innocent people cheering you on to save the lands, and the player slowly becoming ridiculously powerful. But time was short. I may finish it more after the jam; the code became an awful mess in the last two days, but I'll at least fix up the balance so that at level 500 you aren't still getting murdered by level 40 ninjas.

You're using Bevy, right? How do you find their entity component system? Is it easy to use and extend? I was looking at this engine and was considering to try it at some point.

Bevy has been extremely easy to use, although it still lacks a lot of features and has no graphical editor. I've used Unreal, Unity, Godot, and I was working for a while on a custom engine in C, and Bevy is by far my favorite so far, as it doesn't seem to lose performance for its ease of use, which was a big concern of mine. Rust is honestly a bit weird sometimes but I haven't found it too hard to pick up.
