Old Review:

I think the game is a little too dark. It was straining on my eyes to try and see where I was going. If I could see a little bit further ahead it would have been nice.

The level design was neat. The little story at the beginning was neat. It wasn't the scariest mainly because I didn't really expect much scare, if maybe there were more things happening like more barrels being knocked around or just more ominous music queues playing, then maybe it would have been scarier. The mini puzzles were neat too.

Overall pretty good submission.

Edit:

Just read one of the other comments. Did not realize there was a flashlight. I saw you put it on the game page, be warned people rating your game from the jam submissions page have to manually click to view your game page to see the controls. Since most people won't do that I would highly recommend having the flashlight on by default or text at the start explaining controls.

Edit:

Just played again with the flashlight. So much nicer to play. I made it to the second area but got stuck on the paintings puzzle.

I really like the map design. Also the thematic change from indoors to the little outdoors area kept things visually fresh. The sound design all around is pretty cool; really sets the mood.

There were many little quality of life things I wanted to add but I was running out of time. Having a flashlight prompt was one of those things but it would also make sense to just have it on by default.
