tbh horizontal is the way to go from experience also it helps make you see more things on the screen you get less motion sick if you have motion sickness related to FOV and it just makes gameplay better

it's just strange to me because horizontal is dependent on the screen width
so on a widescreen monitor the default 60 vertical fov should be the 90 horizontal
which I thought was the minimum desired fov (and also it's the least deforming one)
maybe all other games set horizontal fov with their sliders and there is a trick to it I don't know about?  ๐Ÿค”
(anyway I couldn't find any good explanations or tutorials on the subject)
