Finally beat the game, it could really use some checkpoints or such.
At some point you spent 90% of your time jsut running back and forth.
better have (buyable?) checkpoint at certain intervals.
Also the "get oxygen when digging" thing is way more useful than it sounds. Like I tohught this was like in most idle games where it costs tons of oney and gives you a shi tty 1% chance of getting oxygen when digging.
but after like the second or so upgrade of it, in 5 rocks about 3-4 had oxygen.
giving you like 10 oxygen every time, you can basically survive almost infinitely if you jsut keep digging.
sure, this is basically the endpoint and the gas mask is jsut around the corner.
Also for everyonein general:
at the start, you can jsut have the rats run into holes to kill them (get like 3 ore even from their death).
later on, you have to shoot things by right clicking.
the enemy shooters cant be killed any other way anyways, the running rats at some point jsut charge you nonstop, so digging holes aint viable anymore.
and yeah, the baloon guys can be shot to death (5 hits to kill one).
but DONT aim at them, you will miss them at anything than a close distance.
dontaim at where they currently are but where they will be.
like, the kind of move in a circle while charging at you.
so aim where they will likely move next.
or jsut stand still till they are right in front of you, sjoot and then avoid them at last second.
yeah, even doing the movmeent prediction thing i miss every third or more shot.
but at least later on, you dont need to coutn your bullets anymore, so it doesn matter.
there will always be 2-3 enemies at once to defeat anyways, so you dont even have time to do big strategies.
just shoot and kill!
and yeah, good game said before.
jsut put some sort of checkpooints somewhere.
just a safe space where (for whatever reason) you can stand still in that spot and recharge your oxygen.
maybe even have a sort of teleporter there that can be activated by using some fixed amount of ore.
so as you progress you activate teleporters further and further avoid that give you some way to quick travel between shop at start and where you left.
dont put the checkpoints too frequently.
but , my random guess, for example put teleporters where the shooter enemies start, one where the baloon guys start.
and perhaps one right in the middle of that distance.
that should take the travel time, where you run past the first "noob" areasover and over, way down.
of course, this makes the oxygen limit thing a bit obsolete or at least needs modification.
you'll figure soemthing out ;-)
and of course I need to see that sequel.
including the big betrayal where the shop mouse obviously knew beforehand what was coming but sent you in as if everything was unknown yet...
