Very nice aesthetics, I loved the big moon in the background! It plays very smoothly with a gamepad (although every restart I had to use the mouse to click the new journey button.) I made it to 314.something after a lot of tries, then couldn't get past 200 for a while, then I made it all the way to... 314.something again! So I think that's as far as my mountain biking can take me at this time.

I saw your youtube video of the full route, I don't think I'd be able to see the ending otherwise. :)

thanks for playing and trying to get to the end; I will be making some changes to try and make the controls a little bit smoother also thank you so much for checking out the ending; I wanted it to be meaningful so people that might get a bit stressed from the challenge feel rewarded in the end for their determination, in future I may also consider adding a checkpoint system so that the player doesn’t have to start from the beginning but I’m unsure of that as it will mean the distance tracker will need to be removed. I’m going to spend the next 3-6 months working on this game :)

You should be able to set the distance even with a checkpoint system, if that's what would hold it back otherwise. For example if you put a checkpoint at 200 metres, then you can start the distance tracker at 200 instead of 0.

I think the controls are plenty smooth as they are, actually! It's a difficult course to ride but I never felt like it was unfair or that the controls were the problem, I always felt it was a skill issue on my part when I had a crash. :)

you make a good point ill test that out it could be a lot more forgiving, I guess I could always have a ‘hardcore’ mode where it just takes away the checkpoints. Good advice!. I think in terms of level design I might try take away some of the hard hitting bumps that tend to throw the player into a spin. A lot of the mechanics, suspension and even the rider are left up to chance by the physics system, there’s no actual animation in the game it’s all done using rigidbodies and hinge/spring/wheel joints.
