Hi! Hope you´re doing great. I come from the poll but I wanted to comment here anyway. I think being gender-neutral is the best option, it can suit anyone and is less work for you lol. If someone wants it more customizable I´d give a choice at the beginning of the game (The typical "What are your pronouns?" "she/her" "he/him" "they/them") But leave it as a dark shadow/person anyway ´cause again is less work for you and it´s hard to satisfy everyone so it´s better to keep it simple.

And let´s be real there aren´t many Undertale dating sims as good as this one looks, I really doubt someone is going to be picky about the MC so don´t worry much about it! At least I´m not gonna be picky at all. I´m too focused on the characters to pay attention to mine lmao

I will admit that I’m leaning towards that, but I need to make sure I’m going in the right direction. I worry sometimes that I am not. I don’t want to offend anyone. I truly want everyone to play and be included. I don’t want to leave anyone out. That is true, I could do that. Haha yeah it would be less work and you’re right. I know I wouldn’t be able to satisfy everyone and I think I’ll be okay with that because I tried and did my best that I could 😅

You deserve such compliment! And it´s normal to worry about basically everything, especially when you´re an overthinker (same), it´s normal! It just shows you really care about it. I only wanted to say that u have to remember that we overthink a lot our own work and stress about it way too much. You´re doing such a good job so far, If you accidentally make a mistake it´s okay! If that happens, we´d kindly tell you.

And in my opinion, you can go little by little (I say it because of what you said about leaving anyone out) what do I mean by this? Basically, I think you could develop the game normally, at your own pace and style. And if anyone ever gets to feel left out or something like that you can eventually do little updates if needed/possible! So again, don´t worry too much about it, everything has a solution! Don´t feel pressured

Ah, that is what I meant to say about gender part. Stress got the best of me and I forgot to clearly explain what I meant. Right after I finished writing the comment I realized there were so many things left out that I wanted to say. Explanation before writing the comment was much better than what I wrote.-.-
People would most likely be upset I mistook gender with pronouns Xd All of those things confuse me...and when stressed, you can imagine how it might have looked like in my head.(chaos...)

I was not planning on replying to anyone anymore, but your comment made me just need to write something back. I have no idea if this is even allowed. But, I sometimes see people having conversations through comments so I guess replying one more time is fine. o.o
I did not expect such kind reply from you...honestly I expected nothing else to be said, but you went on ahead and gave me compliments nobody has ever given to me before in my entire life. Made my heart go places it has never gone to. Made me cry a bit too...happy tears. That’s why I’m replying rn.

I thank you very much for saying that. I always am trying to be nice to everyone and respectful, althought it doesn’t always work out and it does flustrate me most of the time. I love to be fair with people.^^

You told me I’m being too kind to you...but after this I can’t really help myself but to say that I really think you deserve all of the love and support from everyone. You are a wonderful person too and I hope you will have a great time working while having such great people to support and help you. But ofc not overdo it and take breaks when needed.

Honestly you could never frighten me off after this. So glad I decided to comment.
