Awesome game!

  • The astroids are great, you telegraph them really well. It feels wonderfully apocalyptic
  • I think you might ramp the game up faster
  • I wonder what a version of the game would be like if you removed/reduced the other cars and just had a ton of astroids falling. Since the astroids falling is telegraphing the obstacles up ahead, you could have them generate patterns the player has to dodge through. I dunno just an idea
  • Controls felt good. 😎 so did collecting all that money.

  • Yeah, I pretty proud of that :) The one thing I would fix with asteroids is that right now it's possible for them to block you off completely, when the game gets more intense.
  • Ramping up the difficulty would definitely be one of the things I'd tweak if I had more time. Currently the function that returns "intensity factor" is rather simple.
  • If I were to spin this off into a larger project there would be different levels with slightly different rules. With traffic there is more chaos, and that's cool in moments where meteor-ejected car flies just over your head, but not that cool, when you get a meteor on half of the road and traffic jam on the other.
  • As for controls- I decided pretty early, that controls and camera just need to be really tight for a game like this. Right now there's no delay in  camera movement, and no delay in turning.
