Not much to comment on but I thought of a couple things:

  • Colliding diagonally with the enemies feels really bad because it looks like they're not touching. It would be more intuitive to avoid them if you give the player and enemies circle collision shapes.
  • It's difficult to enter the door going between the two lower rooms. Giving the player a circular collision shape would help here too.

Thanks for the detailed feedback for a game that doesn't really have much substance yet.

I'll experiment with circular colliders. You're right about circular colliders being more intuitive when it comes to players moving and dodging stuff.
