Yeah, a 300-point ship plus x2 multiplier getting shot just as the score check happens isn't fair at all, even if you're adding a couple of hundred points higher than you need just for a bit of buffer for that. I'll experiment post-jam with having the ship not fire new shots while the scoring is being checked, and/or have some sort of allowance for missing points that should have been added within the last second or two before the check.
