It's a ren'py game, so should be possible. I googled 'ren'py on steam deck?' and got several results. Have fun tinkering!

It isn't ren'py that's the issue. It it downloading the files from a 3rd party that is the issue. That's what the itch app says when i try to install it, and that the 3rd party site is incompatible.

That just means you can't install it through the Itch app. It's not a steam deck issue. Just means you need to go to the game's itch website manually and download it from there instead of through the app.

I finally got it to work, though. I tried downloading it on both Chrome and Firefox in the past and kept getting a weird browser file limit error. I just tried again via chrome and was able to download it, unzip it, and add it as a non-steam game. So not sure what changed, but I'm not complaining. I'll just use the site instead of the app for the Mega downloads now.

Probably best at this point. I've noticed the app's starting to accumulate small bugs and inconsistencies here-and-there.

Well, more than usual.

That and the file size limit/monetization for adult games (Donations as well as sales) in general on itch.io, I think, are starting to be more of a hassle than it's worth.

I've been seeing more transitions from this to other platforms lately because of it. Also, unfortunately, I've seen a few (sometimes more) Devs abandoning games altogether because of it.

Kinda makes me feel like:

except replacing Lag with itch.io's behavior lately.
