This was a solid little strategy game. It reminded me of a real-time-strategy version of Advance Wars. I liked the design of the characters as spheres in the color of their country's flag. That's from something, right? I want to say there's a history youtube channel that does that. I think the only thing that could improve this game would be maybe a bit of polish, like adding some sound effects for when a battle is happening, and a line render to show a unit's path once it's assigned. I liked the music but it did get a little repetitive, maybe just make it longer so that it's a 2-3 minute loop with some variation rather than what felt like a 15-30 second loop? But overall, yeah, this is a very nice experience.

So, I've never played Advanced Wars, but after watching some gameplay footage, I can say that you make a good point lol.

And you are correct, the character designs are based off Polandball (or Countryballs), digital comics made by people all over the internet. There are also many YouTube channels that use them. If I had more time, I would've liked to lean further into that art direction but 72 hours simply wasn't long enough.

Annoyingly everything you suggested was on my to-do list but I just didn't get chance to implement them :(

Sadly the music is only 30 seconds long, and half of that is the intro. My musician is more of a quality over quantity guy.

Uh... yes, quality over quantity. Definitely. *ahem*
