Things I liked:

  • 10/10 music
  • Great mood
  • Enjoyable story
  • Levels felt like real places

Things I didn't like:

  • The movement felt kind of slippery (too much acceleration/deceleration) but this is a small critique.
  • I didn't really what to do until I accidentally found the photo album.
  • I'm not sure what the purpose of the photos were but I liked collecting them.
  • Invisible walls
  • I had no idea where to go, so after talking to everyone and finding a photo I would just leave the area which seemed to be the right call..?
  • If I exited dialogue before the person was done speaking, the rest of their text would be added to the beginning of the next character's dialogue.

My main issue really was just a lack of direction. Other than that I thought the game was nicely done and at no point did I want to quit early. I'm also not entirely sure I actually finished the game, it just faded to black and after waiting for a minute or so I assumed it was the end.

Overall, for a first game this is great. None of my initial games were this good, but we all learn I suppose.

You did a great job on this game. Keep it up!

PS: Your AV likely said it was malware because I'm assuming you didn't pay a company to sign the exe which isn't exactly cheap, so don't worry about it for now.

Thanks for the feedback! I didn't realize it while making it, but you're absolutely correct about the lack of direction, especially the ending and scene transitions. Thanks again!
