Thank you! I spent a lot of time focusing on the look/feel of this project so I'm glad it shows. As for the ghosts attacking the fences and not you, your comment is how I realized I totally forgot to actually use the navigation agent I gave the ghost lol.

Thanks again for the feedback, I hope overall you enjoyed your time with it.

Damn that was really fun

Things I liked:

  • 10/10 music
  • Great mood
  • Enjoyable story
  • Levels felt like real places

Things I didn't like:

  • The movement felt kind of slippery (too much acceleration/deceleration) but this is a small critique.
  • I didn't really what to do until I accidentally found the photo album.
  • I'm not sure what the purpose of the photos were but I liked collecting them.
  • Invisible walls
  • I had no idea where to go, so after talking to everyone and finding a photo I would just leave the area which seemed to be the right call..?
  • If I exited dialogue before the person was done speaking, the rest of their text would be added to the beginning of the next character's dialogue.

My main issue really was just a lack of direction. Other than that I thought the game was nicely done and at no point did I want to quit early. I'm also not entirely sure I actually finished the game, it just faded to black and after waiting for a minute or so I assumed it was the end.

Overall, for a first game this is great. None of my initial games were this good, but we all learn I suppose.

You did a great job on this game. Keep it up!

PS: Your AV likely said it was malware because I'm assuming you didn't pay a company to sign the exe which isn't exactly cheap, so don't worry about it for now.

Yeah.. this game can be pretty rough for some people to play.

I'm glad you at least had fun for as long as you could.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. kz-n killed it with the music.

Obstacles like trees, and pedestrians were planned but unfortunately there wasn't enough time. Maybe I'll revisit this game after the jam though, we'll see.

Thank you for playing.

Hey that's odd. Are you sure you have all 3 files in the same directory? You need:

  • point-o-8.exe
  • point-o-8.pck
  • godot-jolt_windows_x64.dll
The game can also take a little bit to load. Are you at least seeing the disclaimer at the beginning or is the screen entirely black?

Sorry that the game isn't working for you. I should note that you are the first person to have this issue, regardless of platform, so I'm hoping there's a not-too-difficult fix.

Kept getting lost but other than that you did a great job. Super impressive that you managed to make it in 48-53 hours.

Good game. I thought having to find the tree on the third level was a pain, but you made up for it with the cool boat section. Good idea making the map smaller on that, and having the player start in the corner so they have a vague direction to go in.

10/10 atmosphere and presentation though.

Adding NPCs on the sidewalks was in the "If there's time" section of my todo list. Sadly there was nowhere near the time, but I'm glad you still liked the game. Thank you for playing.

The music was all done by kz-n who absolutely killed it. I agree it definitely wouldn't be the same without it. Thank you for playing.

Bad collisions are a reoccuring theme in this game. One of the "barrier" walls (the ones made of skyscrapers) just doesn't have any collision at all.

Also yes absolutely the map is bland. But I wanted to do a procedural map and had 48 hours so I just went for the grid.

Thanks for playing!

Thank you. Frankly all I really cared about was making the gameplay feel satisfying so I'm glad all my effort paid off.

Thank you for playing. I'm glad you had fun. The wheelie effect was accidental but I liked it too so I kept it in the game.

Great job. I like the "fog of war" effect and music a lot. Collecting all the little resources was very satisfying.

the last level was weirdly stressful with the slow moving enemies.

Great game, that was a lot of fun.

I assume this is a totally accurate representation of what kenney does in his every day life.

Great game. Love the style.

Loved the explosion sound(s).

Great job.

I thought my spacial awareness was pretty good until I had to put a pirate ship on a map.

good game.

Very simple and straight to the point. I liked it.

Oh my god this is hilarious. Fantastic game.

(1 edit)

Since when did something as relaxing and ordinary as collecting corpses in my yard turn in to a horror game.

Great job, the game is super fun and polished. My only recommendation is that holding the mouse button down should also work for movement.

Great game. It's very addictive and polished. I thought the exploration was well implemented, and I never felt like I had an overabundance of fuel. Nicely done.

Yeah.. I wasn't entirely should I should have made a game about drunk driving, so I wanted to at least make sure it was obvious I'm not trying to disrespect any real world problems.

Thank you for playing. I'm glad it was fun.

I mean to be fair, it's the drunk crashers that are the problem.

Thanks for playing. I'm glad you had fun lol

First of all thanks for playing, and I'm glad the controls were fun. I was really trying to make sure they were annoying but not too annoying.

With regards to the bugs: Yeah... I fought with the car disappearing for at least 4 hours during the jam but every fix I tried just causes worse bugs. Yeah there's a pretty decent chance none of the stores sell to you because I accidentally made an "or" an "and" instead. I also agree that the stores should pop out more, and the map was definitely too simple.

Thanks again for playing and I appreciate the feedback!

Oh there are so many problems with the game lol, the main one being that the 30 seconds between each round is totally accidental. Also I don't think the suspicion meter goes down if you play a legit round which should be happening.

Either way I'm glad the presentation is nice especially because this was my first time doing any real attempt at post-processing.

Thanks for playing my game and sorry for such a late reply.

Thank you! Don't worry.. the 30 second delay between each round is completely accidental and my mistake. I guess that's what I get for not really sleeping lol

We making it into the box with this one 🔥

Before anyone comments on the 30 second delay between rounds:

I'm aware. Unfortunately I left some code in that extended the "X Wins" messages so I could get screenshots for the store page and well... yeah..

Thank you! I'm definitely most proud of the aesthetic so I'm glad you liked it too.

Thank you! There were many sleepless nights so I'm glad it paid off.

I love everything about this game
