Thanks for playing! Really appreciate the feedback.

Thanks for playing! Appreciate the feedback.  I really wanted to have an interactive tutorial, because I'm very not satisfied with what's there, but ah well. I just didn't get time to add it.

Thanks for the feedback! Appreciate it. Thanks for playing!

Great entry! Love the graphics. Maybe it was just me, but I struggled with the controls; I may or may not have shot off into the dark void of space and needed to restart the game because I couldn't find earth again. Keep up the great work!

This game looks very impressive! I know it's a small thing, but I love the effect of the mouse hovering over the tiles. I couldn't figure out how to play though; I tried clicking the mouse, but it didn't seem to place anything; tried clicking and dragging, double-clicking. Nothing I did seemed to work; pressing the little timer icon moved things around, but I couldn't tell if it was resetting the game or if the AI was taking it's turn in the game. I'm impressed by the artwork though! Looks really cool. Keep making games!

This was actually really fun! Especially for such a short time frame. Keep making games! Hope to see you in the next Godot Wild Jam :)

Lol, very good. Not much gameplay here, but I think it's supposed to be that way; a simulation kind of thing. Noticed some of the the AI got stuck on each other at times. Laughed out loud after reading "The last of us, but it's stick figures" and then opening the character customization menu lol. Keep making games!

I got a 404 error.

Appreciate the feedback! Thanks for playing!

Hey, thanks so much for playing! I wish I'd had more time to improve the tutorial and levels. Glad you finished it!

Okay, no, i missed the tutorial. First game huh? That's awesome! :)

This was a cool idea! I found it difficult to play, because of the lack of feedback. It was hard to tell if what I was clicking was having any effect at all. Cool little game though! Liked the medicine bottles lol. Keep developing!

The exe file doesn't work for me; throws an error when I try to start the application.

Fantastic game! I'm blown away at what you accomplished here; It's great! I'm seriously considering leaving this on my hard drive. If I had to nitpick, I'd say I couldn't figure out how the tile placement worked. The little red line was very difficult to see, and it didn't help that several early hands were mostly (if not all) cards that needed to be played on already infected tiles. Once I figured that out tho, I LOVED this game. It's honestly my favorite from the jam so far. Keep developing! You're doing a fantastic job.

Color me impressed by this little game! It's really good! I really liked this. It's got a cool aesthetic, the tutorial was integrated right into the gameplay. It was fun to run around and explore. It's maybe overly difficult? Takes 3 shots to kill a parasite, and your pistol shoots pretty slow. Felt like I had no control over the encounters, and fights were more about being far enough away to give me enough time to kill the thing before it got to me than anything else. Still, fantastic little game! Good job ya'll. Keep developing!

Thanks for the feedback! I really appreciate it.

Yeah, I wasn't a fan of my level design either. And I agree the controls were too complicated. Thanks again for playing!

Hey, thanks for playing! And thanks for the feedback.

Oh, okay. I actually already use Git, but my repos are all private. Thanks for explaining!

Thanks for the feedback! I actually agree; it's pretty complicated for the length of game it is. I kinda think I should have at least added an area where you could play with the tools consequence free, but I just didn't have enough time. Thanks for playing!

Thank you! Thanks for playing!

Thanks for playing! Appreciate the feedback.

Lol! Thanks! Please don't mention me when you apply for your next surgical job though.

You know, for a self-proclaimed "bad prototype" I had a lot of fun with this. There wasn't anything for game play really, but it was oddly enjoyable to just walk around and see the parts of the level. Keep developing games! Great job.

I think this is the highest rating I've given a game so far! First off, you do a great job of introducing the controls to the player. I was able to get right into enjoying the game without trying to figure out how stuff works. I Really don't have much for criticism here. Keep up the great work!

I'm impressed by the amount of different systems you have in this game! And I really like the art; it's impressive. For critiques, I'd say I really struggled in the combat section to know what was triggering when, and if I was even doing any damage. Cool game! Keep developing; you've got talent.

Congratulations on entering this game! The concept looks kinda cool; but I really struggled to figure out what I was doing in the game? I kinda walked around and gathered potions for a while lol. From what I gathered, the wolves are sick and you're trying to heal them or something? Keep up the great work!

Great first game! Feels nice to play.

Thanks for the feedback! I didn't realize it while making it, but you're absolutely correct about the lack of direction, especially the ending and scene transitions. Thanks again!

Great game.

Pros: Clean aesthetic, easy to understand tutorial that lets you play the game from the get-go, challenging, but in the "Got to try that again" sort of way.

Cons: It's pretty difficult, and not therefore not for everyone. If you like these kinds of games, it's a fun little experience.

Great job! Keep up the good work and keep coding.

First of all, finishing any game in 48 hrs is an accomplishment, so good job.

Pros: The environmental design is really intuitive; I was guided to where I needed to go without even realizing I was being guided there until afterwards for the most part. The game was about the perfect length for a game jam game, and the little animations were all well implemented. And I felt like it was paced very well too, although that was hard for me to gauge in this case (see bellow).

Cons: So, I actually played this with my sound turned off (accidentally) and so I got stuck looking for the soda can. I got pretty frustrated and confused, but that's really not the developers fault per se. I also didn't realize I could click the mouse to progress the dialogue, so I wondered around for a few seconds with the first line of dialogue on the bottom of the screen.  So again, don't know that that's the developer's fault. However, clarity is important, and it's a good reminder of the importance of communicating to a player what they can and can't do (usually through a well crafted tutorial, in bigger games). The other nitpick I had was that moving around the tombstones got cumbersome when I was looking for the soda can, but again, if I'd had my sound on I would not have been looking for it for as long as I did.

Overall, I think this is a solid game, and I believe it's the developer's first released game, which is even more impressive. Keep up the great work and keep coding!

The meta-ness of this game is incredible; I found so much to love about it.

Pros: Game play is smooth with no bugs.  It's also incredibly funny; I loved the "Pointless toggle" option lol. The length was perfect; it wasn't too hard and was engaging the entire time. I'm very impressed.

Cons: none really; this was an excellent jam game. 5/5.

Can't wait to see what you do in the future! Keep coding, and good luck.

This is a cool little game. Here are my thoughts:

Pros: the visual feedback is actually pretty satisfying; when you move to the next circle, the ship does a little squash and stretch thingy which was a nice touch. I thought it fit the jam them well, because you're literally exploring trying to find planet X. It's also the perfect length for this kind of thing; you can play this thing in a minute if you want.

Cons: Because the mechanics are simple, there's not much for strategy here; you're clicking on a spot and waiting to see what happens, with no say as to the outcome, which makes it get boring pretty quickly. It's the equivalent of rolling a dice, looking for certain number, and if you roll that number, you win. That's not gonna be very fun for more than 30 seconds. Also, the text popups have a lot of text. The attempt here is immersion into the world, but because it has no tactical impact on game play, I really didn't care about it. If I lose fuel, or gain fuel, I'm just going to choose the next random circle to go to and hope it's Planet X.

Great job though! Good presentation overall. Keep up the great work, and keep on coding.

Didn't submit my own game on time, so unfortunately I wasn't able to rate this. But actually finishing and submitting a game is a feat in and of itself, so good job there!

So, I actually can't get out of the opening room. I pick up the key, and the door remains closed and I can't do anything else. Walked around the entire room but didn't find an alternate exit. So maybe that's a bug? Regardless, it's hard to give much for constructive feedback. I will say the player felt like they moved pretty slow to me. Which if the world isn't tightly packed, will get really old really quickly.

Great job though! Keep up the great work, and keep coding!

Didn't submit my own game on time, so unfortunately I wasn't able to rate this. But I'll give you my thoughts. And actually finishing and submitting a game is a feat in and of itself, so good job there!

Pros: The physics system was a ton of fun to play around with; I honestly kinda left off trying to follow the road, and just jumped from road to road and even on other areas of the map. When I played it this way, it took just the right amount of time to finish the game (I think 6 mins was my time). And I never got stuck! I know physics can be a pain to work with at times, so this is really an accomplishment. The car was fun to control.

Cons: The camera was locked to the rear of the car, which meant jumping, spinning and turning was INCREDIBLY dizzying. The map had a lot of twists and turns, and the car moved pretty fast, which meant in order to drive on the road, you needed to stop all forward movement and inch around turns. Most of the map is like this, so the fun part (going fast and doing physics things) isn't a big part of the game if you stick to the road. And maybe that's not the intention? The theme of the jam is "Exploration" after all, so maybe you're supposed to just cruise around the way I did, I honestly don't know.

Great work here! Keep it up and keep coding.

First, I need to say congratulations on getting your game finished and submitted. That's a feat in and of itself, so good job there.

So, I actually couldn't play more than 30 seconds of the game, because when the first ghost shows up, he just outruns me and catches me before I can get anywhere. This was one of my biggest cons with the game; the difficulty. I'm not sure it's even possible to get past this point in the game? I certainly couldn't. And if it is possible, having it be that difficult that early in the game is a big quit moment for players.

That said, I really liked the atmosphere. You did a great job with setting up something intriguing and with the assets you had available. And the light/dark effects are really good; looking at the Gifs, looks like you did some cool things later in the game. I also need to give you props on the tutorial/pacing. There's dialogue, but it hops into game play quickly, and the tutorial is part of the game, not just a wall of text. Well done.

Good luck and keep coding!

So. Played the entire game.

First, good job on finishing and submitting; not an easy thing to do.

Pros: The game is adorable. The way the characters animate is charming. It fits the theme of the jam very well; I needed to explore the entire map to find all the monsters. The compass at the bottom of the screen was a fantastic touch; I would have been lost without it. I'm impressed by the qty of features you had; a dialogue system, E to interact system, compass system, and simple but credible AI system for the monsters.

Cons: The game is very simple, so there's not enough mechanics to make the game play engaging for very long. And because the entire island is the same couple of sprites, means it got boring pretty fast; I would have been satisfied if the game ended at the 7 or 10 monster mark, but 20 got pretty tedious. Also, there was only really one strategy: take the shortest rout to a fleeing monster. Which again, got repetitive quickly.

Bugs/Game Issues: I found at the end that the monster countdown was linked to the pressing of the F key, because if you stand next to the pen and spam it, the timer continues counting even if you don't have any monsters, I got it down to like -35 monsters left to collect. I also got stuck on the monster pen after doing that and simply could not move.  There was no ending triggered after depositing all the monsters, and I'm honestly not sure if I found them all because I may have double clicked  F once or twice while putting them in, so maybe the counter said 0 but was actually at 1 or 2. So maybe the ending wasn't triggered because I actually hadn't finished the game? Or else there was no ending implemented per se, which is understandable for a game jam game. The colliders on the edge of the map stuck out a bit, and sometimes the monsters would go beyond where the player could go, but the player couldn't capture them either. So the monsters would sit just off the island next to the player, and the player couldn't do anything, which was frustrating. I also discovered that if you spam the E button while talking to NPCs, the dialogue would go all crazy and spit out nonsense. I actually had a similar issue in the game I was building, and in my case I was assigning multiple character's dialogue in to the OnClick() function, which you apparently can't do; the OnClick() function can only handle one thing.

Overall, I liked this game, and I'm super impressed with what you accomplished in the time you had. Good luck on future projects! Keep coding!

I was not able to get the game to run. But good job on finishing and submitting it; that's a monumental task! If the problem of the game not running is on your end, and you're able to fix it, reply to this comment and I'll try to come back and play it and give you some feedback. :)
