Fantastic mini-metroidvania, with simple, intuitive mechanics. Each room felt almost puzzle-like, with a particular highlight being the up-then-down-again alternating blue and yellow block room (I hope that makes sense?) - chaining my jump and crouches to get over in one fluid motion felt fantastic.
I loved the way new mechanics were introduced, with the simple animations perfectly explaining what was required without a single word onscreen. The player's animations are also fantastic, with a remarkably smooth and natural feeling to them for so few pixels!
The various particle systems for lazers and deaths are so juicy :)
The adaptive music was a very nice touch, with the new instrument introduced with each power really helping to push me forwards
