Are you sure you're actually on v0.9.5 on app lab? The default channel is on v0.9.4. You have to manually open the HereSphere app lab page on a web browser, scroll down to the version entry, and then select the version to switch to the RC channel for v0.9.5. There shouldn't be any major differences between the itch.io version and app lab (other than lack of support for bluetooth synchronized peripherals on app lab).

I'd recommend checking to see if it actually the difference between v0.9.4 and v0.9.5 that's the causing your issue. You can do this by either switching the app lab version, or installing v0.9.5 from itch.io to compare.

Meta does not give user purchase info, so I can't offer an itch.io version if you buy from Oculus. However, if you purchase from itch.io, I can send an app lab key. You'll just need to send an email to support@heresphere.com with the email you used to purchase from itch.io.

Yeah you were right, the lab version was 0.9.4, not 0.9.5, so the test was even better as the version is the same, I uninstalled lab 0.9.4 and installed lab 0.9.5 using your procedure, but the problem remains, I uninstalled the 0.9.4 io, uninstalled the lab version, to see if the files and cache can be deleted(I don't know how to delete cache files on Quest), and reinstalled the Lab version 0.9.5 (this time I double checked :), right version), and the issue persists, files that open without any problem on io 0.9.4 don't open on lab 0.9.4 or 0.9.5,

I also made some initial tests, I could not deep dive and I may be wrong, but it seems the problem just happens on API, I tried to access the same file using an HTTP address as I also have an NGNIX running in my raspberry and all the files that I tested that failed using the stash-vr via API worked. I also tested the SMB, again the same files that failed using the Stash-VR/API worked

The files that are working using stash-vr via API seem to be with lower resolution the ones that are 1920 and lower seem to work. tried to see if it's related to video codec but it seems all files are hevc, size seems not to be the issue, but I did not really tried to see if the size is the matter and may be

in short from my few tests:

0.9.4 io - all files work on HTTP, SMB, and API/Stash-vr

0.9.4 and 0.9.5 lab - all files work on HTTP and SMB,  files with resolutions higher than 1920 fail in API/Stash-vr

That's pretty strange. Would you mind trying xbvr to see if the issue is purely related to stash-vr? I haven't heard any other users with this issue, so it might just be something related to your setup.
