I love investigation games like this! The little puzzles with ascii were very fun.
Though, I'm personally not a big fan of timed events :P. I would much rather repeat the level after a "deadly" choice, than repeat it after the time runs out, but that's just my opinion. It was also a bit weird that the detective's sprite was blurry (I don't know if you worked on Unity, but if you did, setting the sprite's "Filter Mode" to "Point (no filter)" might fix the issue).
In any case, I had fun!
