perhaps look into switching to godot? its a free opensource engine, might be worth looking into

Unfortchantely Godot doesn't have many of the features Unity has such as Live2D which the game uses for animations, but maybe one day someone will add it in to Godot.

Renpy has Live2D support, so I suppose that it shouldn't be too hard.
