I've been using a combination of Novel AI to help create images and then I use Dezgo to help refine the images into ones that I think are good. It's all paid services so fair warning about that
Typically I do something along the lines of long brown hair, brown eyes, plump, (describe clothing), (describe setting), (describe facial expression. And then add extra prompts or use inpainting to adjust aspects of the images.
