I had to check this one out after reading the page cos the story summary kinda reminded me of a film I watched earlier this year called Lapsis (which I recommend giving a watch if you enjoyed playing this game!) Having just reached an ending, I'd say it has very similar vibes to Lapsis, but also kinda like crossed with the Black Mirror episode titled Fifteen Million Merits (both of which I love ^-^) and then, of course, its own original spin on that sort of story in the vein of corporate greed and taking advantage of those most in need.

Presenting it in such a colourful and funky style of art only served to make the bleak exploitation even grimmer in a great way, haha.

Definitely hope I never find myself in this scenario in reality xD I have already heard the horror stories that poor Amazon workers live through >.<

Thanks for your comment (and your recommendations)! One of our original goals was to create a game that resembled a classic Twilight Zone sci-fi horror story with a timeless moral lesson, so we're glad to hear you were reminded of other science fiction works.

Lapsis is probably not the greatest recommendation considering your game is actually a lot better than the film, haha. The film is still enjoyable, but the story in your game is a lot more fleshed out and fun than the approach they went with in Lapsis. That's not to say it's not worth a watch cos it is, it's just, your game is better :D

I'd actually go as far as saying that your game is one of the most visually funky and impressive of all the ones I've played from the jam so far!! You can really tell a lot of love went into the whole thing :3

So sweet, thank you! We're always aiming to make the most cinematic visual novels we can, so any comparison to a full film is high praise!
