I'm not on discord so I will leave a comment here. First off, RCE sent me. Cool game, digging it so far, thanks for making it!

I have a couple suggestions for future versions. 1) Allow us to turn off all sounds, not just music. 2) Allow us to play in windowed mode. 3) Not sure how to fix this, but clicking each tick in the signal light wheel gets tedious after having 8 signals on the map. Maybe allow us to hold mouse button down and drag to select what is on or off, then single click to fine tune?

Thanks again!

Thanks for the kind words :)

1.) Will do.

2.) Will do.

3.) I'm planning on adding a copy function for traffic light pattern and I'll try to come up with something that makes it less tedious.

I should be able to get all of these in the game in the next update.

I literally just came back here after thinking about the copy function myself. That would be great, thanks!

A couple more I thought of..

4) Save the state of the map in whatever shape we left it in before we exited the game. That way I don't have to start from scratch when I come back. I just realized this after I came back to the game to find what I set on a particular level was gone.

5) Each map also should have 3 difficulty levels, and each one has more traffic than the last. I feel the amount of traffic being used in the current maps would be considered "expert" level. Maybe each level is a different time of day, which would vary the traffic load. Easy would be evening or overnight. Medium would be around noon, and expert level would be rush hour traffic in the early evening. This would give us more reasons to play the same maps over and over.

6) Leaderboards?

7) When a map fails, I would like some sort of notification as to why. I can only assume I let the lines of cars go off the map for too long, but it would be nice to know what I did wrong so I could correct it later.

8) Minor gripe, but when a car makes a turn, it's almost 90 degrees. On the "cross" map I tried to have two opposite turn lanes go at the same time (each going left), but they kept driving straight into each other because they were trying to go more 90 degrees than a 45 degree angle you would expect when turning.

Thanks again!!

4.) Working on that right now, should be in the next update.

5.) This would be easy to do on my end but I think it would complicate things a bit too much (for example when online leaderboards are added you'd have 3 separate leaderboards). I think currently there aren't enough easy and medium difficulty levels to make the difficulty curve nice and smooth. I also think I need to redesign a couple of levels to make them less awkward.

6.) This will come with the steam version in 1-2 months.

7.) I'll try to think of a way to communicate this better.

8.) This is just how the game has to work due to the grid nature of the roads unfortunately.

Thanks for the feedback, always appreciated!

No worries, thanks again!

In addition to copying signals, maybe some basic functions like inverting or “rotating” them would be useful for coordinating multiple signals.

Yep someone on the discord suggested shift-clockwise/shift-anticlockwise which seems like a good idea. I'm in the process of prototyping out the changes and seeing which fit
