All 9 endings/story paths can be reached, but some are quite a bit easier to get to, other are trickier to find ;)
The cursor is a bit of a bugear for me too; what I ended up with was the best option I could manage but it definitely could be better/clearer what it is. If/when I do a new version I think I will work on improving the cursor and hopefully add a few more interactables or different dialogues for interacting with them.
