This is pretty good for your second game! I was using Godot too when I first started publishing games on itch. One of my Godot games also failed to show visual effects in the browser version. I wonder what causes that. But I didn't get a very satisfying kill animation for the pumpkins on either version. The explosion looks quite nice so it's jarring to see them just disappear when killing them with the sword instead. I suggest adding at least a particle. I also recommend using sprites with a more consistent art style and resolution on your future projects.

I thought that the mechanic of sleeping to regain health and energy to swing your sword was creative and ties into the nightmare theme of the jam quite well.

Thank you for playing my game. I was making death animation for enemies too but when I made that the player would take damage for no reason even though I disabled area and collision of enemy. Instead of that bug i removed that feature. But for my next game I would be adding more effects and making it more interesting. This is journey of progress, i hope we all succeed. I hope you enjoyed my game 😄💤
