Notes from gameplay:
- Font in main menu could be a bit nicer, looks very "default"
- Ambient noise is very atmospheric and creepy
- Game graphics are intense. The flickering sets a strong aesthetic, reminds me of old corrupted VHS. Unsure if I could play this for a long time, but it definitely captures a retro vibe and immediately sets a tone for the gameplay!
- I really like the clean, simple statement of my current objective. The audio for the alert is nice.
- Took a nap zzzz
- Trying to find a code. Walked to the closest tombstone and was told I lost :(
- Second try I went to the cabin and then got a game over before I was even given the explore objective. Maybe this is like a really demanding simon says?
- Ok, made it out of the cabin without losing. Going to wander a bit.
- Very "liminal space" vibe to this which meshes well with the VHS graphics
- Got a game over this time by just standing here. Is something chasing me?
- I like the effect of light coming down through the trees
- I can't find an option to remove this from fullscreen, but I think it would look a lot better on a smaller window.
- Whoa, found a creepy shadow dude flying in the air!
- He killed me lol
- Found a pit of lava
- It killed me lol
- Played a dozen times, can't figure out how to find the code and escape :(
I think adjusting the resolution would help a lot with this. I like the concept, but as-is, it's pretty tricky to see what's going on. There might also be some bugs triggering game over?
