I also re-installed it and it still didn't work. (I've had this problem b4 but it was easily fixed with scrolling back a few pages)
I'm quite puzzled. Doesn't even 'continue' appear in the final message instead of 'save'/'exit'? It seems as if the new patch folders have not been installed in your game. Apart from repeating the process with a new download, I don't know if I can help you further, because in my eyes it is as if the new patch simply is not installed.
It doesn't show that theres a download version for windows when I try and download it directly on my pc and not from itch.io.

Also that error is not from me launching the game, its from the 1st video when I tried to download the game directly on my pc. It was just a little late popping up.
From what I can see in your second video the patch is not installed. Because if that were the case, the first thing that would appear on the cover as soon as you opened it is the cover of the humans, not the cover of the demons. But to be sure, when you open the extras section and go to the unlockable images in the episode 11 section you will probably only have three unlockable images instead of 6 (in case you have patch 11.1 installed). Otherwise, you may not even have the gallery images of these two episodes.
Taking this into account, you must follow the instructions that appear next to the download. Once you download the patch, you must unzip the folder and dump everything inside said folder into your chronicles game folder (wherever you have it saved). This way your saves will remain in place but the new patch files will be installed.
