  1. I recommend you to use full license name like in your another pack https://omniclause.itch.io/1-bit-caves-tileset
  2. It looks like you understand what CC0 means at least I hope... Just interesting why do you use CC0?
  3. If previous is correct, I recommend you to add license metadata. Read here how to do it
  4. Did you heard about OGA

I’m honestly not very well versed on licensing at all. I just used CC0 because it’s what Kenney uses and I want it to it to be in the public domain with no need for attribution. I can definitely add it to metadata and I’ll look into OGA after work. Happy to change it to that if it’s more appropriate for the jam.

Ohhh I see OGA is Open Game Art. Yea I can definitely add it there!

It doesn't related to the jam in any way. And I allow on my jam any license and even rate without looking at license... Just when I see one of the free cultural license

Kenney is very popular

In general you can write something like this:

License:

  1. You can do X
  2.  You can do Y
  3.  You can't do Z

And it will be "considered" as license so you can use your any custom license. In general it consists of following parts

  1. Must user attribute the author?
  2. Can user modify the art to suit their needs?
  3. Can user redistribute the art?
  4. Can user use it commercially or only non-commercial use is allowed

But some creators use free cultural licenses usually from CC (Creative Commons) family

All very useful info! Thank you for taking the time to write it out! Will update the page tonight to with all of this implemented. Also thanks for running such a cool jam. Definitely plan on participating in more moving forward.

I saw, jam hosts get notifications when someone joins or submits. Even when I submit I get a notification "someone joined the jam"
