Nice mood for sure, and the look was lovely.

I must confess. I didn't make it to the end. The hallways all felt the same, and there was nothing I could use to tell one from the other, so I felt like I was just wandering around in the dark. Maybe some stakes (a monster) or a prize (A friend or memory trapped in my mind that I had to save) would've kept me pushing through.

I hope you keep working on it though. It's a cool idea.

Cheers.

Thanks for the feedback!

We wanted to keep the scope quite small and decided to stay away from horror, but we definitely agree that adding some variation and incentive would've improved it a lot. We had some ideas for wacky creatures, where instead of just chasing and killing you, they have fun quirks that make it harder to complete the maze (e.g. runs away with your compass and you have to chase them to get it back). We probably could've added these in time but oh well. I guess that's just a lesson to take into the next jam!

We may keep working on it later for funsies but who knows. For all but 1 of us, this was our first gamejam, so our main goal was just figuring out the ropes.

Nice. Great work for a first jam. This is just my third, so I'm with you. Trying to figure out how this all works, and trying to scope out my project. I hope to see more of you!
