It's one of the best games in the jam!

It's a really well working platformer game + some kind of defence mini-game! For the platforming part - I would touch on the level design, as there is not a quite good distinction sometimes about what is the level's surface, what are "gates" and what is the threat of dangers - for example spikes and slimes decreased my HP sometimes, but there were Saws that were always instantly killing me! For the shooting part - when I got into the rhythm of the enemy ships - the pacing was too slow and I was bored defending it quickly.

But I admire, you managed to create such a game in that short amount of time - there are elements of a complete game and it all together makes an enjoyable title!

Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm so glad that my team was able to submit a good game in this game jam!

About the game itself, yes,  we have to admit that there are some flaws in the level design and the Saws are a bit annoying to deal with, and also the shooting part is a bit unbalanced in terms of gameplay difficulty, but we tried our best to reduce the amount of bugs and maximize the playability of our game.

If we had more time, we would have also added cut-scenes/dialogs for the character so as to provide clarifications to the player, like what are the threats and what to do next (as you have pointed out). We will improve upon our flaws and try to make our game more enjoyable in the future.

We really appreciate your kind feedback and we look forward to participate in future game jams.  Once again, thanks for organizing this fun event! :)

I only judged the current state and I also believe if you would have more time - you would make a blast ;) Good luck on next game jams and your game dev journey!
