why is it that when in the rome server storyline Dalia get blacked out?

Gamma is correct but there's one thing missing: In the rome server, you need to have at least 4 affection points with Dalia, otherwise you lose her path.
(@Gamma: This will also skip the bet and the associated decision entirely)
Getting that many points is not easy if you play blind and stick to your choices. If you want to preserve Dalia's path, you need to go load a save. Each of these decisions gives you one affection point with Dalia, you need at least 4:
- When meeting the sisters for the first time, let them go without asking for anything in return
- Agree to do Nancy's chores, then stay in the bathtub when Dalia comes in, then tell her she's beautiful
- On Ekabar, attack Con right after Dalia says the codeword "moron"
- Stay with Dalia during the first Thanatos encounter
- Say that you prefer Dalia's brownies instead of Alex's bagels
- Offer Nancy to make breakfast in the morning before going to the gym
Depending on where you missed these opportunities, you don't have to rewind too far, hopefully. If you want to avoid this kind of thing in the future, I have a novel walkthrough mod that might interest you.
I didn't know about the chores (skipped that) and didn't make the breakfast either. Will keep those in mind when I no doubt restart in the next or final version.
And ooh. Your mod is what I used to troubleshoot how I'd lost Dalia's path in the first place. It was very handy, thank you! I kept it installed and noticed I make suboptimal choices every so often, but rarely so much I roll back.
