To me, writing in 5/4 is actually very satisfying and I do it a lot - it is my favorite time signature other than 12/8. The division of 5/4 into 3/4 + 2/4 with both 3/4 and 2/4 being split into two notes is very useful and common to me; that works very well. I think you did a great job making 5/4 work, and the result is an easy-to-follow song (the upside of using 5/4 instead of e.g. 7/4 or 11/4 in my opinion)! I love the choir and the entire 'enchantment' vibe of the song, it fits nice with the weird 5/4 song. Well done :D
