Great aesthetic and music! There is a difficulty curve to this game (I have barely played any FPS games) but after a few tries I was able to get the hang of it (Beat 3/4 of the levels), the level mechanics were very creative and fun to run around in. Also like the other commenter suggests, either a marker for the key enemy or maybe a checkpoint system would help avoid the trial and error of finding the key enemy. Really liked the whole computer menu part as well, although an option to skip the loading logo (when you start the sim) would be nice.
Definitely could see this game getting a steam release!
Also some minor bugs I found:
- Sometimes the cursor lock doesn't work correctly so ie on the restart menu the cursor is locked to the middle
- Walking up a ramp sometimes stops you from continuing forward onto flat terrain (you need to jump)
- At certain angles the uber heart becomes hidden by a white rectangle so it looks like it disappeared (also I accidentally threw the uber heart away trying to equip it and died, maybe there could be another tutorial section about equipping hearts)
- Sometimes the counters (like your health, or the grenade timer) go negative when you die but honestly it adds to the aesthetic
