So not a lot to provide feedback on with what's available since I can't download so I could only play the web version. The core idea here I like and the combination of the art and the music is really good. I loved the chipper-atmosphere of the tunes and the whole venture beyond cutscene at the end was great. My biggest feedback is that if you are going to launch it on Kickstarter, there are some big quality of life things I would work on before then just so you get as positive a first experience as possible.
For starters, I would put the controls on the itch.io page or somewhere in the game so people know how to play. The demo actually crashed on me the first time before I figured out how to enter the door. (It kept crashing when I had it fullscreened but ran without issues if I didn't fullscreen it) Also the web page does not format correct for me, it runs off to the side and I have to scroll back and forth to read the description. If it helps, I'm using Firefox on 1980x1020. If it all fit on one screen, it would help make the page look a bit more polished.
Aside from that, I would recommend adding subtitles and changing the audio balance a bit. The main menu is very loud so I turned my audio down, but then I started the game and missed half of the intro because I didn't realize he was saying anything until I turned my audio back up again. Adding a text box/subtitles would make sure people don't miss that first dialogue which I think is pretty critical. When I rebooted it the first time, I got to hear the whole intro and it seemed to set the scene really well so definitely don't want people to miss that.
Bit of a novel but I think you have a really good concept and the game looks/sounds really nice. So wanted to make sure I passed along everything I had off the top of my head. Nice job and I hope the campaign goes well!
