Very good game with gorgeous story panels. Especially with how the end implying that it's not over.
The game itself is fun though it gets repetitive after a while. I think each plant should've had a different way to get rid of it, and the map could have had more secrets put into it. Like how the axe can be discovered in the wild if you explore enough. The last shop item seems pointless, if not just harmful. Since the regenerating plants are basically an infinite source of money and getting rid of them doesnt really help you. If there was some part of the map that was blocked off by these plants and they regenerated faster than you could cut them i would understand but there isnt any such area.
Also, there is a bug with the game where every time you press space on a plant. the speed of disposing it becomes faster. So you can spam space to make the process much faster than doing it normally. This even applies to the regenerating plants where they remember how many times space was pressed on them and getting rid of them after regenerating was instant. However, I think this feature did make the game a bit more interesting by giving me an option to make the process faster. You could use this to add more ways to remove a plant and give the player the option of finding which one is fastest. You could also do something like (God forgive me for uttering this name) fortnite's mining system, where there would be critical points in mining to make it faster. Adapt this by making it so if you stop the bar at a certain point then the plant would instantly be removed. You could also make it so you could use different tools on the same plant that would have different ways to remove it.
Finally, the game had some weird lag spikes at some points. I was playing the browser version but I don't really see why this would happen.
Good luck with your efforts. The ending of the game does hint at something more so you could put these ideas into a sequel (or just update this existing one).
