That was more like reverse flappy bird .  fun little game, I will give it another go later I really want to get to the end, the shark came out of no where and gave me a scare lol. So the heath bars are a nice touch instead of one hit and die.  your krita skills are impressive that shark looks menacing. and thanks for sharing that link to the godot shaders, I too tried to use a shader with my game to add a water waving effect to the back ground and the player it is really subtle .
 when your game starts it goes full screen but the game does not fill the screen for me.  I think that there may be 2 ways that my fix this, in godot project settings set stretch mode to  canvas items , or in itch set the game window size to the size of your game window . godot project settings itch

Awesome, thank you so much for the help!, I was indeed having issues with the screen resolution as on my desktop the waves looks smaller but when I submitted to itch.io, the waves got bigger. I will give it a try. I have set the manual size on itch.io but didn't tried the canvas items config. appreciated all the feedback!! the shader just in case is for the background sun and water, for the waves I have followed this tutorial:
