(Maybe good to know for other people running into this issue) Nevermind, this only happens when running the game using https://itch.io/randomizer probably because it is running from within an iframe or something.
I think someone else had the same issue playing my round 1 game, and I couldn't figure it out. Thank you for finding that and letting me know.
