I love the color palette and the appealing little characters! I would totally play a game with this art style :)

I had a similar experience to all the previous commenters. I also wish the background art /concept was a bit more thought out than just a big square of green grass on a big blue void, but I know since it seems you were a one person team that things like that often are low priority in a quick jam like this so I understand not having that as fleshed out as the gameplay (and as an artist myself I'm totally biased! :P). It was really fun to try several times once you figured out what the benefits and strategies were for each item. I did have a weird glitch also where the screen didn't fit within my window, no matter how many settings I changed, so it meant I never knew how much money I had or anything so just had to blindly click items to see if I could afford them. Not sure if that was a problem on my end or yours!
The atmosphere was definitely very depressing which was part of the concept so well done on that! There were some issues that made the game difficult to play properly. The camera movement was really fast so it made it feel really jarring to look around, and the spider part had a very floaty controls so it made it very difficult to actually squish the spiders if you miss the timing of the first one, but very easy to be squished by the spiders. I also had issues reading the emails, as someone else posted. Great music and atmosphere.
this is a really fun seed of a game! I like the character/world idea and I think there's so much material that you can add to this concept. The art is great as well. I hope you keep working on this idea because I want to see what other fun marshmallowy concepts you can bring in! Like maybe when you get hit once you have a "golden toasted" shield that protects you for a future hit, but then if you get hit again you'll catch fire and die :( Haha, anyway--fun cute beginnings , nice work. :)
