Thanks! I might make this into a full game if it places high on the rankings.

Thank you for playing the game.

About the flipping of direction, my idea was that the level appears mirrored when you try to move to the left. The point lights that show up when the level is flipped is supposed to look like as if you are viewing the world through a mirror, but I can't seem to get it to look right.

I see your point about the 3 buttons. It simply didn't come into mind since I got used to the flipping being tied to the player's velocity. My playtesters didn't seem to mind as well.

If I ever make this into a full game, I will include that option in the accessibility settings, as well as tweaking the player's acceleration. Thanks again!

Uhm, a what?

yeah

This is my first time joining GEJams and I was wondering why this jam doesn't show up on the Jam Calendar (or maybe I'm just blind lol).

The only way I got to know this jam (and the previous jams) even existed is through a Twitter post by @Lvl99Growlithe.

Is this intentional? Because I feel like there aren't a lot of people in here.

Done, here's mine https://afthen.itch.io/space-warp.

Pretty neat, but could use some improvements.

I would really appreciate if you rate my game. Thanks!

Here's my game https://itch.io/jam/go-godot-jam-3/rate/1562092. It's already been played, but I hope you can give feedback.

Here's my game, hope you enjoy playing it. https://itch.io/jam/go-godot-jam-3/rate/1562092

Since I didn't have the time, it doesn't have any UI, start screen, game over screen, or things like that, but it's playable. It also doesn't have a restart button, so you'll have to reload the page when you die.

Nice game! It was short, but since this is just a proof of concept, I think it's great!

(If you could try my game, that would be nice too)

It may seem like it, but that's because it's one of the evolution states that can be seen visually (but if you meant you always get four cannon, it's probably just a coincidence). Other evolution states are increased movement speed, dash, and many more.

I'm planning on updating the game once the voting is all over. Thanks for your feedback!

There are many things that I wanted to add but couldn't, such as giving the line some area collision so I could add enemies. That was my idea behind the turret station, but I couldn't get the area collision working, so I just added some breakable tiles.

So yeah, maybe I'll continue working on this in the future. I learned a lot of things while making this one, so maybe I'll make the game from scratch again and continue where I finished it.

Yeah, input remapping is one of the things I'm looking forward to learning. I might continue working on this, so I'll definitely keep that in mind. I'm glad you like the visuals.

"It's not a bug, it's a death animation", but yeah I'm glad you like it.

Yeah, I should have changed that. I'm glad you like it.

It's a pretty nice concept. I like the idea of using electronic components as enemies. And the game was tied around the theme very nicely. Nice game.

It's a pretty nice game. I like the sound effects. But like the other comments, the charging time feels kinda slow.

Here's my entry! I'm looking forward to your feedback.

I didn't know I can move forward and backward at first. I thought it was only side to side. Partly because I've never played other games with similar controls. It was new to me.

Got kinda confused with the controls at first, but it was satisfying to play.

The background is so beautiful. It would probably look cool with parallax effect and slight blur. The controls were responsive, but the movement is too fast. I got stuck below the platform in the level with the lava because I stood under it while streaming the energy back to the lava, but I finished it after restarting. Nice game.

Very neat and unique movement! I think the sound effect doesn't match the looks of the game, but it's still satisfying.

Nice game! I enjoyed playing it.

Wow, I had a great time problem-solving! It reminds me of fire boy and water girl because it had a similar mechanic. The music and design are fitting as well. Good game.

This is pretty fun to play! It's actually kinda similar to the game I made. The design is nice, but maybe the player's sprite can be improved by adding a white outline to it to make it pop-out. I enjoyed playing it.

The punching sound was satisfying to hear, but it has a delay. The movement was good and not slippery. I also didn't notice that the enemy's punches affect me since there was no sound to accompany it. Overall pretty good.

For your first game, I'd say you did a pretty good job! There is always room for improvement, of course. One thing I noticed is that the player hurtbox is a bit bigger and the hitbox is a bit small. The controls feel kinda slow, but I guess that's the movement you're going for considering the genre.

Other than that, I enjoyed playing it.

Inspired by Hornet's silk from Hollow Knight, you play as a sentient wire with one purpose only — to bring the light back in the world.

Use WASD to move, press SHIFT to plug or unplug to a station, and LEFT-CLICK to shoot bullets and break glasses.

You can now play it in your browser for free. If you're having problems in playing the game, just leave a comment and I'll be sure to check it out.

I'm new to Godot too. From what I saw, HeartBeastGame EndeavorGonkee, and GDQuest are good YouTube Channels that teach Godot 2D. But if you're looking for 3D tutorials, I don't have any suggestions.

When you need specific tutorials (like varying jump heights), just search them on YouTube. It's likely that someone already made a video about it, albeit low quality at times.

You can also visit Godot's Q&A Forum when you have specific questions like changing the default background color through code. Godot's documentation within the engine can also help sometimes, although I haven't tried reading it, so I'm not sure about that (but it's probably helpful in some way).

I'm glad that you liked it. I played your game and saw that we do have similar concepts; I like it too. It really doesn't have Koyote Jump. I think it's just how the collision is set for the player. The reason why the player can fall into infinity is that I was going to add a death effect on when it happens. Like the camera will focus on a text above the level but sadly, I didn't have the time.

If you're still stuck at level 5, here's the walkthrough for the whole game:

Sorry for those who find it difficult to play. I forgot to add the list of controls and a tutorial so, yeah. I will try to fix all the bugs that you've encountered and release it soon...(I dunno If anyone would still play it, but I'm going to do it anyways).

The game does in fact have a reset button, it's shift+r. You could also quit by pressing esc. When on the other side, you should press down to jump instead of up.

This is my very first game and my very first jam. Thank you all for the feedback. I'm really glad that you've all liked it.

here's my game https://afthen-productions.itch.io/the-other-side-of-reality. the html version is very buggy, so it's better if you play the downloaded version.

yeah, I forgot to put the list of controls when submitting the game. you can press shift+r to restart and esc to quit. I'm very happy that you liked it. very few people play jam games when it needs to be downloaded, thank you for that.

When in the other side, you should press down instead of up. I'll try to fix these issues as soon as I can

hmm, I'll try to fix it soon
