Just watched your stream. Thanks for playing our game, glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the feedback. The take on less is more was that when there was less light you could see more of whats alive in the garden :-)

Happy to rate your game and get you to 30 ratings! voice control is a really novel idea.

Please rate The Night Keeper and help us too! https://itch.io/jam/blackthornprod-game-jam-3/rate/898747

I like the concept, it needs fleshing out as it is currently a bit simple and repetitive. However your use of the spherical surface, the graphic design, and the moving camera all worked great and i could see how you could continue to work on this and take the idea places. Good work

Hey there , just finished playing your puzzler. Really enjoyed the level design. The game reminded me a bit of Repton by superior software in the UK from the 80s, a classic game where you were chased around the puzzle. Really great work!

Thanks for your kind review, we have Sam and Sam our Composer and Artist to thank for how amazing the graphic and sound design turned out. We will check out your game for sure!

I watched your stream. It's great to see other peoples play styles and hear their commentar. Thanks for checking it out and for streaming The Night Keeper!

One of my inspirations when we were brainstorming ideas and fleshing out the night keeper was the feeling I get when they are exploring the abandoned city in Laputa. We wanted to capture that sense of wonder and mystery. So it's really nice to hear that some of it shines through!

Hey bud, thanks for rating The Night Keeper. I really want to try your game it looks really original, could you upload a webgl version somewhere so i can try it!!!

Well done on your game, needs a way to speed up the dialogue and the swearing seems unnecessary and detracts from the atmosphere. However the art and music are wonderful. Definitely something you can build on and flesh out into a beautiful game if you choose!

I enjoyed your art style and music, I didn't enjoy not being able to speed up the cut scenes  😂. But you can easily make that happen. It was fun and weird, good stuff!

Hey guys I loved your game, it's a style I'd love to try making. I think you could definitely continue to work on this and come up with an interesting sinking country game! Great job!

I enjoyed the art style but i had the same problem as others, i didnt see a way through without being killed, but i read the comments so i know now! Well done with your game!

Hey Bastian.

Firstly I wanna say thanks for including our entry in your review video on youtube! It was so great to watch someone else play and see what you liked and didn't like in real time!

Secondly, I'm going to tell you what you missed on the lake level and I think you're gunna kick yourself. On level 1 & 2 when you placed the statue on the glowing mark it locked into place. But on level 3 the first statue did not lock after you placed it on the yellow fish. Once the bridge is raised you have access to the second yellow fish and you can push the first statue onto it and then it locks and raises the bridge that gives you access to the glowing blue mark! The link is that the one statue is responsible for both yellow marks ;-)

KBoss did a full walkthrough of the Night Keeper if you want to see what I mean or check out what you missed in the remaining 2 levels. But I'd love it if you went back and gave it another try   😂

Level 2? Once you place the statue the bridge raises out of the water. But the statue no longer moves. Perhaps the answer lies in the dark  😏 hope you take another look, there are 5 levels to get to!

It went up by 1 so thanks for taking the effort!

Thanks for playing and leaving feedback! I hope you'll consider rating our game!

Hey quantum enigma. I hope you enjoyed the game jam. Galaxy Jam is a great start, well done completing it in time. I can see an endless runner type game where you are constantly climbing higher and higher! Great job!

Hey Dementor you did such a great job on your first game jam! I like your minimalist platformer! A great achievement for a solo team. Everyone in my team were first time game jammers too. The whole thing was so much fun!

Hey bud. The into text was a little sloooooow, but I waited and was surprised by a fun minimalist platformer. Tough but enjoyable as you can do all sorts like wall slides. Well done on your game!

Hey Zoomore well done completing your game. It definitely has that bomberman feel to it like others have said though before i realised there were bombs i was thinking pacman! Well done!

I really like your art style and your interpretation of the theme. I couldn't work out how to win at crossing the river, no matter how many logs i collected or people i said i'd save  😭. Congratz on creating your game!

I just saw your screenshots in the jam list and thought it looked interesting so I'm disappointed that you didnt get it uploaded in time so i can play it  😭

I love that you made a game about paying your rent lol. Love the art too.  Please check out or game if you have time. Great job!

Hey Kingjaw, great job with your game. I love the art style you created, bold and colourful. If I had one suggestion it would be to allow me to fire more often. Great little space game! You got my rating!

We wanted to include things that made people wonder why they were the way they were or what was going on. With more time I think we could have got to our vision of an ominous world just out of sight. Thanks for your feedback and glad you enjoyed playing it!

Really recommend you include a web build next time if you can so more people can enjoy your game!

You made a game about the House Keeper we made a game about the Night Keeper  😂😂😂

I love your art style!

Let me know what you think of our puzzler if you have a chance to play it!

Dont be sorry man thats what its all about, having fun and learning cool stuff! Just finishing something is an achievement! We had 4 people so we were able to rely on each others talents but doing it as a solo team is also a huge achievement.

Congratulations creating a working playable game. Love that you created all the art and music, it really reminds me of the early 8 bit games the way you designed the sprites and I enjoyed playing it!

Hi  Randirt. I love that while we are all relying on unity for our engine you didn't and created your own game from scratch in C++, very cool. One possible way to take it is give the reason to be seeking the exit beyond just time, perhaps have them chased by something.

Great work building a working game on your own  in one week mate!

Hi  Kyyrozu  I liked the idea behind the level building as you play, cool music and a clean look to it. Well done with your game mate!

Less light more..... clues, creatures, ethereal world  😂. So glad you loved our game!

Hi there, i like the idea you had for your game. A bit hard to master the controls. And I like the graphics you created!

I like your concept for less is more, the gameplay needs some extra options so it doesnt get too repetitive. But what is the little guy collecting colour for?  🤔 Well done!

Your game was a real surprise, an interesting take on less is more and a fun and quite tough puzzler! well done!

Fun little platformer, I played it through to the end, i really enjoyed the music and the minimalist artwork!

Thanks so much for the thoughtful review and comments. Really happy how much people are enjoying our game. The music you loved so much was composed by sam
