You can drag a JPG/PNG into the window and it will give you import options

I learned most of the stuff by looking at tutorials for the specific effect I am trying to achieve. The Fire is done with the Particle System inside Unity with just a white square texture and colour over time. The Character was kind of cheated, its a 3D model done in MagicaVoxel, same with the pick ups.

Trying to come up with a name, and will need to fine polish a few things, like how much will be in the camera, how frequent enemies spawn and so on.
