It's amazing how you were able to draw so much art for the game! The characters were fun to interact with, and the quests were entertaining to read! I noticed that sometimes, when characters would show up in pairs, one of them would phase through the door, but that's a really minor thing! Very neat game! Great work!

What a unique concept! I liked that how, by reversing your role like this, the game got harder in a different way! Normally, if you play as a hero, the game gets harder because the monsters get stronger. But in this game, you're the one getting weaker! There were a lot of neat puzzles and the art was super cute! The movement and controls were a little hard to get used to, but I still enjoyed my playthrough! Great job!

This was so much fun to play! A straightforward concept with a great execution! I struggled hardcore, but it was an enjoyable kind of struggle! At first, I wasn't too sold on the concept fitting the "roles reversed" theme, but after reading your explanation, I can definitely say I've changed my mind! Awesome work!

Also, this concept hit a little too close to home for me, because my keyboard is actually a malfunctioning mess as well XD

Wow! It was cool that you were able to fit so many mechanics into this game in only two days! There were a lot of controls to remember, but introducing them one at a time definitely helped, as I didn't feel super overwhelmed! I didn't actually realize that I had a gun until I pressed the first button, so I think a small tutorial for the gun would be nice! Overall, great work though!

This truly felt like a game of capture the flag, in the sense that I was constantly going "Where is my team???? I guess I'm carrying" XD

This game was super well polished! Great sound effects and visuals, especially with the slow down effect that happens when an enemy approaches you!

I think having an indicator of when your teammates are going to respawn would be helpful, and well as giving the player just a bit more jump! The timings for the platforming are super tight, which makes it pretty easy to fail jumps when you're panicking and trying not to get caught! But I'm also pretty bad at games, so it could just be me!

Great work!

Super polished game! I thought the aesthetic was super cohesive, and I liked looking at the different character names in the pause screen! The puzzles were clever, and I think being able to control the level with arrow keys would make for a nice playing experience! Amazing work though! And those scene transitions were very worth fixing, well done!

This game was so cute! The sound effects and animations are so adorable! This was a nice puzzle game with a fun mechanic! I really enjoyed it! Awesome job!

This game was really fun! I liked watching the car drive off after the road was completed, and your concept is very creative! The drawing could be a little finicky at times, but I still enjoyed the game a lot! Nice work!

Very cool concept! Getting the customer's order right while also making it wrong was a little tricky, but honestly, being able to serve someone a raw burger in a cooking game is incredible XD As someone who's played quite a bit of Overcooked, it was satisfying in a way to try and fail customers on purpose! Great work!

This was awesome! I love tower defense games, so being able to play as the wave-sender for once was a nice twist! And defending the castle after I took it over was cool! I only made it to the second level, but the fact that there is more than one level to begin with for a two day jam was really impressive! Especially since the levels have different phases! Amazing work!

I'll think twice before eating a burger now  ( ; - ;    )

This was nice and simple, but fun to play! I think the burger munching sound effect really added to the silliness of the concept XD

Nice job!

I love the title of the game! It's so funny XD This is awesome for your second ever game! Playing as the rocks instead of the spaceship was a nice twist! Great work!

This game was so cute! I loved the art style, and the writing was really fun! I was only able to win over the modern hero, but I might have another go at trying to befriend the fantasy hero again! Oh, one thing I noticed when playing was that, sometimes, the modern hero would say certain lines of dialogue that the fantasy hero had! Other than that though, excellent presentation! Playing as one of the monster grunts you normally destroy in an RPG was a good take on the theme! Awesome job!

Oh! Thank you for playing! I'm glad to hear that the game runs smoothly on Linux, as we actually had no way to test it on any of our equipment XD

For now, we don't have any plans to add Linux to the Steam release, but it's definitely something we can look into after the game's launch!

I love the art style of the game! I felt bad for all of the plushies :(

One thing I noticed was that unburrowing was a little difficult! Is it just about waiting for the bar to empty?

Nice concept!

A very pretty game! I like how you can still take paintings that are already there XD Good work!

The level design in this game was incredible! Those puzzles were tricky, but the solutions were really clever, and the overall aesthetic of the game was really funny XD

To quote one of my team members, "I like this."

Very well done!

This was a short, fun experience! Switching between healing and shooting was pretty fun, and the little pixel art guys are really cute! I did notice that the hearts from the chests would sometimes phase into the wall out of reach, but I was still able to get through with the health I had! Great work!

I see! That is a good suggestion! I'll keep that in mind for the updated build! Thanks again!

Aww! I love the lil fish! And the blooping sound effects when you click are really cute! Nice work!

Ah, thank you for playing our game! Luckily, you actually can get evidence for the detective if you fail certain minigames in the thief section! It isn't super clear which minigames are fail-able and which ones have to be done correctly though, so we'll definitely be clarifying that for our post-jam build! Appreciate the feedback! Also, we're definitely making the sneaking section shorter in the updated build!

This was such a funny concept! XD

The hectic, fast-paced gameplay was really fun! Also, the character sprites were really fitting! Great work!

The fish swimming animation is so cute! I think it would really add to the game if there were water noises and a big splash sound whenever you reel in the fishermen! Upgrading was pretty satisfying! I felt like a very powerful fish by the end of it XD Great job!

This was really well polished! I didn't know you could freeze the level while you were falling at first, but after I got that, it was pretty smooth sailing from there! I think a little bit of tutorial text to explain the core mechanics of the game would help with that, but that's a really minor thing! Nice visuals and sound design! Great work!

Wow! It's impressive that you were able to get ten levels into the game in just two days! The level design was pretty solid, though I found the last one to be particularly tricky! I think it would be nice if you were able to rotate the objects in the opposite direction as well! Also, the fact that you drew all eight of the rotational directions for each sprite was awesome! Well done!

Very neat game! It was so exciting to see the new card show up after I defeated a few heroes, and I really enjoyed the concept of building up my deck with newer, stronger cards! The heroes raiding the HQ also made me feel like a villain, as the overwhelming force of heroes felt like a perfect send off to my reign of terror funnily enough XD Good work!

Aaaaaa, thank you so much! There are a lot of things we wanted to polish up with the detective section, and we'll actually be releasing a post-jam build once the page is editable! I'm glad you enjoyed the game!

Thank you for playing! Ah, the second part of the game is actually affected by how well you do in the first part of the game! If you do really well, you don't leave behind any evidence, so as the detective, you have nothing to go off of! That's definitely something we could've telegraphed more clearly! Appreciate the feedback!

Thank you for playing! Ah yes, that was on oversight I only thought of a solution for after the jam ended unfortunately (  T ^ T)

Oh gosh! Does the game not run, or does it not let you play it because a pop up appears?

Ha ha! No problem! Thank you for playing!

Ah, there's also another thing you have to do! In Mimi's domain, there was a picture on the wall of the last level with an arrow pointing to one of the corners! If you click on that corner in the web version of the game, it'll take you to the secret ending with Mimi! There, you'll have to type another code, which is MIMI! Hope this helps!

Oh! For the phrase, did you type in MIMI or THE REAL ONE?

There are plans in the works for. . . something :) I don't think anyone will be expecting it, but even after the DLC's release, it's definitely not over for us yet!

We haven't started working on a mobile port yet with all of the DLC work, but we'll make sure to give an update when that process is started! Thank you for enjoying our game though! Sorry for the inconvenience!

Oh goodness! Would you happen to be playing on mobile? Unfortunately, the web build doesn't work very well on mobile devices and is meant for PC play!

Oh no! Would you be able to tell me the issue you're having?

(1 edit)

Oh, that's intentional! The part before the lunch rush is just like a tutorial!

The bug patch has been released! Hopefully you can have a smoother playing experience!

Oh goodness! Our bugfix patch is being released tomorrow, so the settings option should be fixed!
