Highly aggressive and dangerous. Avoid any and all contact with this creature.

Scored 1400! Game looks and plays great, all the sound FX and music are awesome too!

PS. i really really like the main character design on this, very cool

I scored 70 points, I believe.Really clever idea, executed very well! The art/models look great and the scnene was well designed. There was no music playing, however, it did not take away from the game at all, I thought the sound FX were plenty to keep the scene feeling alive (As a matter of fact, I wish I  wouldve taken this route in my own game!)

All-in-all, excellent submission, great work yall!

first i’d like to thank you for playing and giving a great, in-depth review/comment!

my apologies again for the performance issues, will be sure to address those if i continue this project! Someone else mentioned about the music as well! might be smart for me to find a composer as i had a pretty limited selection for commercially free music, plus i don’t have the best ear either. As for the UI i totally agree, that was more of a “let me rush to get this in.” it’s still using the default unity font as well *insert face palm*

anywayyyyy, thank you so much for your time! :))

pretty darn good! and yeah i agree! not a bit music guy. on top of that i had trouble finding a song that is “free for commercial use.” So i just stuck with something fast and upbeat!

however, if i continue this project i will be sure to address that. thanks for playing :D

thank you very much! one thing i would add if i continued working on this project is the shield! currently upgrading the shield only increases speed. my original idea was to also upgrade the size (starting with a smaller one than currently in use and upgrade to one bigger than current shield). unfortunately it wasn’t it the cards for this jam.

thanks again for playing :)

thanks for playing!

thank you so much for playing, and not bad at all! but full disclaimer, the most of the art (castle, shield, trees, icons, etc.) is pre-made off the asset store.

i’m a programmer with little art experience. i’d prefer to spend my time programming and level designing instead of making models and art.

thanks again :)

Thank you/sorry for playing lol! Really means a lot to have you even try it let alone make a video, awesome thank you!

hehe last level troll ;), on top of that great time and thanks for playing, gotta work on lighting as  fog and ambient light took control of my lighting, kept a bunch of white point lights for the levels, either way, thanks a bunch for playing!

thank you for playing and thank you for the feedback! for the timer, you are absolutely right, i guess i didn’t really notice it when i play tested so definitely should fix that, for the movement, what i think you’re seeing is i have the camera “stay behind” a bit, and when you stop the camera quickly catches up. i did this cause i thought it looked kinda ugly without it, however, if it’s causing gameplay problems i’ll address that as well

glad you enjoyed it, thanks for playing!

very cool video. you got some skill thanks for playing it was awesome watching!

Very fun game, I enjoyed the picking up mechanic, art is amazing as well

wow not bad! and thank you!

Thanks for playing!! i know right, lots of candy was harmed (eaten) in the making of this game

Thanks for playing and glad you enjoyed it! The music is from a pack downloaded free of the unity asset store. the individual song lasted about 2 minutes i believe

Thanks for playing! Yeah that’s a great idea if i decide to continue with the game it will definitely be the next feature i add.

For reference the colors of the rock candy could help: green -1, blue - 2, purple - 3, yellow - 4, pink - 5, orange - 6, red - 7, gold - 8.

thanks for playing sofiregu! glad you enjoyed it

Thanks for coming back! I intended to be a challenge with a bit of a learning curve to figure out the levels, anyway thanks for playing!

my apologies whichever you prefer SaberTooth Studios!

no didn’t add a saving feature sorry :(

it’s a gum ball and those are his eyes

thank you sabertooth!

Thanks for looking into that! I did some optimization and it seems to be running much smoother, even the web version doesnt lag for me anymore!

After some optimization, it seems to be running much smoother, no lag for me even on the web version!

Very nice start of a cool adventure game.  I think i would enjoy it a little more with some tutorials just to get a better idea of whats going on.  Oh and a way to restart if you die! Other than that very cool!

I would but Im not too sure how.  I tried doing a linux build and it gave me some strange stuff no application so im not sure if theyll work or not.  Im gonna add it to the page either way! Good luck hope it works for ya!

Thank you very much! I figured it was something like that. Glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you! and yeah its a little bit laggy on mine as well,  the downloadable version runs much nicer for me!

Hi Tottori, first off thanks for playing! Second, Im sorry you had some problems.

I could definitely understand lags on the web version as there is a lot of game objects in the scene and it has to load.  If you wanna try it with hopefully less lag, may I recommend trying on downloading it?

I was a bit tough on the levels maybe because when I was designing I play tested a ton! and got pretty good at so I might’ve missed the difficulty increase, however I could see it being a problem so I likely will go back and balance the difficulty.

As for the timer, that is no bug.  It stays going throughout the 8 levels and if you make it to the end that’s how long it took you to complete the entire game!

Thanks and good luck if you try again!

i think i figured it out just put my game up, hopefully the zip is full of all correct files. thank you both!

Can you best all 8 levels and escape? If so how long did it take you?

I figured out the HTML uploads, just wondering how I would do a downloadable version? Would  I put all unity files associated with game into a zip file and upload that?

I read that you must create all assets. Does this include sound, UI, things like that?

Sorry you were having trouble!  I'm not sure why these problems occurred, I will for sure add a downloadable on the game's page, along with adding one on future games.  As for the technical issues in game I'm not sure what could be causing them.  Sorry again and thanks for giving it a shot!

Glad you enjoyed it! Oh didn’t even realize thank you, I’ll have to fix it that!
