I can definitely see that there is much to be desired in the performance area. I will be working on that heavily in the weeks to come. Thank you so much for playing!

This is an under-development game, which is made by myself, the lead programmer, and two artists. This is a 5-week school project of ours, where we were tasked to create a horror game with 3 levels, fully polished and bug-free.
You are a janitor at Hollow High School, and you are tasked with cleaning the school and ridding it of its garbage and things. However, Hollow High School is no ordinary school. Its students are withered with powers beyond their imagination, but some do not possess the strength to hold back their powers.
Unfortunately for the janitor, he is the one in charge of cleaning the scoundrel students' messes which can sometimes be dangerous. But the janitor is braver than he may appear. The janitor pays his dues to the principal of the school by showing his "bravery" in cleaning the students' filth left behind each day.
The janitor will soon realize it may not be worth it. Each day he encounters a new creature or beast. But he trudges along, braver than ever. However one night, something new showed its face in the halls, and it would prove to be the janitor's toughest encounter yet.
Will the janitor make it through the night, to return the next day, or will he succumb to the school's haunted ways?

We are eagerly looking for input and reviews on our game. This is the 2nd week of our development, and we are confident it will be excellent on week 5 when we finish the game. Level 3 has just begun development, so we haven't included it in this build. We will continue to update our build each week on Sunday. Thank you so much for your time!

Game Title/URL: Doughnut Heist https://aldenchappell.itch.io/doughnut-heist
Pitch/Information: Doughnut Heist is a game where you must attempt to use stealth to avoid guards roaming the halls with batons. You must gather clues throughout each section of the map to gather a code in a security terminal to open the door to the next room using your gathered clues. In this game, you can throw and eat doughnuts to distract guards and heal.
I'd like feedback on: I would like to have feedback on all aspects of the game!
I need help on: I wish I could've figured out how to make my line renderer showing where the doughnuts will go follow the cameras angles. Also, I wish I had a bit more time to enhance the AI and create better animations.
The first thing I noticed was the awesome background gradient. It reminds me a lot of Galaga, and I love that game! Getting the last 1-3 ships was a bit of a struggle but not that bad. The game was a little bit on the easy side, for me at least. Other than that, I didn't encounter any bugs and I had fun!
My first impression was that the webpage was all over the place. All of the text is at the top and unaligned, and a bit hard to read due to the overpowering background color. Also, the game is way off to the right side of the screen. I wish there was an option to start the game so I could have the chance to read the instructions before each player lost several lives. Other than that, I like the idea of the game, and it's challenging.
I like the art! I wish I could put a name to the little green guy because I like him a lot. The animations are well done as well. I can tell you put a lot of effort into this game. My favorite thing was definitely throwing the potions. The line that shows you its trajectory and impact spot was the perfect touch. The only thing I would change is the lack of a winning condition, bu other than that, very fun!
Wuggling is awesome! The artwork is done really well, and I can tell you like to stick to one theme for all of your art, which I enjoy. After the first 20 or so seconds, I started to get kinda dizzy because of the background I think. I had fun collecting the shirts! I was expecting to have won after collecting 1000 shirts as per the instructions, but I finally won after collecting 1650. I did play a few more times, and some of the times I was bit by a snake almost immediately, but that's not that big of an issue. All in all, the art is good, the sounds are good, and most importantly, it's fun!
I really enjoy the artwork. The first thing I usually do when playing a game is look to see if I can get out of bounds or out of the map. That being said, I did just that and was able to avoid all of the bats and tombstones and just fall back down to collect the candles and hearts. Additionally, I do wish there was a win condition. This is personal preference but could be a nice touch! Other than that, the game is fun!
1. Hello, everyone! My name is Alden. I'm a current Simulation and Game Development student in the USA, and I love making games!
2. I've never been in a game jam, but I've heard how much fun they are, so I decided this would be a good place to start.
3. My favorite game of all time is Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. It was the first game I truly fell in love with, and I play it still to this day(when I have time of course). I have many other games I enjoy, such as Rust, Rainbow Six: Siege, Minecraft, and all Call of Duty games.
4. I have just over a year of experience in game development, all from school. I have done some level design in Unreal Engine, however, most of my experience is with Unity. Additionally, I have published 1 game, which I have shared on my itch.io page.
5. I am very passionate about video game development, all sorts of exercise, my dogs, and my car. My goal for this jam is to push myself to see what I can accomplish in two weeks, have a ton of fun, and see what others can come up with in the time span.
Hello all. I have just published my first game, and I would like to share it with you all. Being that it was my first solo project, the length of the game is not very long, however, I am still very proud of it.
If you're interested in reading more, or purchasing and playing my game, here is the description:
