awesome little wordless story great visuals and some really incredible sound design. Over all it was brilliant although I do have to ask on the piano puzzle is their a secret if you press the keys in a certain order? Because I feel like the BGM had very distinct melody to the point that maybe the main motif could be played on the piano for an secret I don't know about but I suck at playing music by ear so I couldn't figure it out

Thanks I worked really hard on this its really nice you had a great time :')

but also if you liked the launching mechanic you should try Ori and the blind forest or its sequel Ori and the will of the wisps their Indie, 2D metroidvania's with an emphasis on gorgeous visuals, excellent music (Even if you don't wanna play either games you should listen to "Restoring the light facing the dark" its a great theme) and also an emphasis on really fluid and innovative platforming the launching mechanic is a modified version of the bash ability from that series (I even accidentally started calling it bash instead of launch in the tutorial) The key difference between the 2 is that bash also can be used on enemies and their projectiles and the enemy or projectile will be launched in the opposite direction allowing you to throw explosions right back at them or deflect them onto other enemies and throw enemies that try and charge you into spike pits or instant death lasers

Thanks! I thought of the fishing mechanic after think about the early paper Mario series and wanted to make something that is kinda like those little "minigames" before attacks

as for the secret bird it should be a 5% chance or  a 1/20 to get hooked you can tell by the timer turning from white to red if you have hooked it or not

Glad you liked it :D
I'm defiantly going to be brushing up on my artistic flair and color theory and general pixel art skills in preparation for joining my next game jam!

I really love the concept of this game being a grim reaper fishing for souls. Doing a rhythm game is also something I had thought of doing so it's cool to see someone went with that idea and really made it work!

I enjoyed this one good job on it!

I love the little cutscene at the start of a run. The graphics are simple, easy on the eyes and clear to see the difference between obstacles and keys. The controls felt overall pretty nice. My only real criticism is that it would have been really nice to have some music in the background. This is the first game I have checked out that wasn't my own and I would even say its much better then what I made. Good job!
My highscore on this game: 1563
