Super polished, this feels like a full game already... The full voice acting got me, A+

Surprisingly complete! I played a 2 player run through this game and am pleased to say that the mighty pirate Redd Cabbage the Jolly and his vessel, the PDF Lojack, managed to successfully make it to the Fort, and swindle a ship of pirates into helping slay the mighty Goose with one HP remaining... 11/10 this game swashes all the right buckles. As a DM, certain events like the Squid and the Squirrel confused me since they were described absolutely nowhere, but this was a fun one-shot nonetheless
This game was way more fun than it deserves to be, i've thought about the idea of a rhythm/combat hybrid game for awhile and honestly don't know why it's been missing in a game til now... It took me awhile to realize I should click an eighth note after the beat but after that it felt natural and very juicy. Maybe in a future update you could introduce new guns that fire on different beats or in different rhythms? Or have the enemies also attack on the beat and you can block on the beat? Just throwing ideas out
This plays like a proper boss battle! Feels very tense and impactful... and would be a 10/10 if the shots, slashes and hits were animated in a way that sells it. I love how the boss has multiple phases, maybe in a future update, add a boss HP bar and have him get stronger/different in later stages of the fight?
Very fun game! The rules and scenarios are clearly written out and the super fights are fun and chaotic. I only played with 2 players but I will definitely play again with more!
My one suggestion would be to add rules for rolling with Disadvantage, for example when it's dark or when crowds are blocking your exit, or when villains don't listen to diplomacy - to stop players from using only their best trait over and over.
